Vino Volver Cuvée Old Wines 2020

With Cuvée Old Vines, Bodegas Volver reaches a high level of quality, an extraordinary and complex wine.

Throughout the years, Bodegas Volver has selected vineyards in search of the best TERROIR and quality potential. "Finca Los Juncares", the unique vineyard of Volver, was planted in 1957, located in the Northeast part of the central plateau with an extreme continental weather. The soils are very sandy and are mixed with pure limestone and red clay. Volver Cuvée is the result of a coupage of VOLVER SINGLE VINEYARD and wines obtained from its oldest Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards.

Finca Los Juncares is a 29-hectare vineyard located in the northwest of La Mancha, near the village of Las Mesas, one of the highest areas of the plateau, reaching almost 700 meters above sea level. Its stocks date from 1957, its soils are poor in organic matter, sandy, and rich in limestone and chalk. A meter and a half deep we can find red clay which brings freshness and elegance to the wine. Very low yields, about 1 ton per hectare.

The vineyards where Volver Cuvée is born are carefully watched in all its phases and processes: pruning, flowering, fruiting, veraison, ripening and harvesting. The best bunches are selected in the vineyard.

Only the best barrels of Volver, with great aging potential, are selected for Volver Cuvée.
