In the distance can be heard the sound of the cow bells. The "Entroido" (Carnival in Galician) is here! Dressed in their costumes and wearing their unique masks, the Cigarróns run through the streets brandishing whips and producing the unmistakable sound made by the cow bell tied to their waists. The are the real protagonist of the region, the Cigarrón's region ("Terras do Cigarrón").
