The Macallan Triple Cask Matured 18 year old is part of their Triple Cask Matured range, a series of single malt whiskies made in a combination of three casks: European and American oak casks which have previously held sherry and American oak casks which previously held bourbon. This trinity of spirits is exquisitely and expertly blended to produce an exotic single malt with flavours of orange, velvety cocoa and wood-borne spices.
Macallan Triple Cask 18 years old is characterised by the smooth, delicate and complex character of the entire range. In addition, the eighteen years of maturation give it the greatest depth of flavour with intense notes of orange, velvety cocoa and wood-borne spices, as well as a natural light amber colour.
Macallan Triple Cask Matured 18 Years Old was previously called Fine Oak 18 Years Old and offers the same extraordinarily smooth and delicate, yet complex character, with a new name, a new bottle and a bold new packaging.
