LAN Reserve has been aged for 18 months in mixed French and American oak barrels, in exceptional conditions of conservation.

LAN Reserve has remained 18 months in mixed French and American oak barrels and 21 months more in the bottle, inside our cellar, in exceptional conditions of conservation. Don't keep this Reserve for a better occasion that never comes.

VINEYARD:
From selected vineyards in the Rioja Alta and Alavesa sub-zone with an average age of over 25 years.

WINEMAKING:
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature not exceeding 28ºC so as not to lose the aromas from the grapes. Maceration for 3 weeks with frequent pumping over to achieve a good extraction of the colour.

AGEING:
During 18 months in mixed French and American oak barrels. Bodegas LAN is a pioneer in the use of mixed barrels, which combine American oak staves, which provide the elegance of vanilla, and French oak bottoms, which provide touches of spice. LAN Reserva remained 20 months in the bottle, to complete its refinement.
