More information DYC 20 Grandes Maestros Whisky
DYC 20 Grandes Maestros is the result of the distillery's collaboration with Lorenzo Caprile and the Real Fábrica de Cristales de la Granja.
DYC 20 Grandes Maestros is the first 20-year version of the brand and for this unrepeatable edition the designer Lorenzo Caprile and the craftsmanship of the Real Fábrica de Cristales de la Granja have collaborated with the distillery.
This edition is made up of only 70 bottles for the whole world, and Licorea is privileged to have been chosen by DYC to market some of them.
Produced for a minimum of 20 years, this exquisite single malt whisky, whose edition is limited to a production of only 70 bottles, is the result of a long maturation process in a single American oak cask, which has previously contained bourbon.
DYC 20 Grandes Maestros is thus the oldest whisky and the brand's only single barrel.
The collaboration with Grandes Maestros
Lorenzo Caprile is one of the greatest representatives of Spanish design worldwide, he has been in charge of designing this unique bottle and its luxury case.
In his design, Caprile recreates and pays homage to the beauty of maturing in a unique and exceptional environment. Inspired by the natural surroundings of Segovia, he has designed a majestic bottle, faceted in glass whose stems evoke the highest peaks of the Sierra de Guadarrama, the location of the first and only whisky distillery in Spain, and crowned with an edged glass stopper.
Bottle design by Lorenzo Caprile
The decanter is housed in a case also designed by Caprile, in which red, the designer's favourite colour and the colour for which he is internationally renowned, takes centre stage. Made of velvet, with vegetable dyes, and decorated on the outside with traditional Segovian sgraffito, it opens with two cupboard-like doors, inside which this work of art rests: the perfect combination of design, luxury, and craftsmanship.
Each of the DYC 20 Grandes Maestros bottles is a unique piece. The Royal Glass Factory of La Granja has been in charge of manufacturing the bottle by blown glass, using an exclusive mould and hand-cutting the glass, a work of art.
