Celler la Muntanya is a pioneering company in the Minifundista movement, whose mission is to: rescue abandoned vineyards, restore and replant native vineyards; fairly compensate producers for their work; promote itself hand in hand with the culture of the land where the grapes grow; and be involved in education.
The winery does not belong to any D.O. (Denomination of Origin); it is certified as varietal wines and is part of the Slow Food València movement.
Celler la Muntanya is located in the municipality of Muro d’Alcoy in Alicante, and its vineyards are spread across surrounding municipalities in the central regions of l’Alcoià, el Comtat, and la Vall d’Albaida, nestled in the mountains of southern Valencia and northern Alicante.
