Bodegas Schenk was founded in Switzerland, a land of great wines, in 1893 by Arnold Schenk, who inherited his father's passion for wine and the land and soon turned his firm into one of the most important wine companies in Europe.
Today, more than 125 years later, the company is still owned by the same family and maintains the traditional values without losing the essence of a family business, although managed by professionals.
Bodegas Schenk has companies in Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Benelux, and the United Kingdom, a pan-European structure that has made it a unique company in the world of wine.
In 2002, it took advantage of its 75th anniversary celebration to change its name to 'Bodegas Murviedro', in honour of its Cavas Murviedro wine, one of the most emblematic wine brands of the Valencian Community and which made Murviedro one of the most renowned wineries in the world. |
