Casks that have contained North American bourbon are perfect for ageing Auchentoshan.
During an ageing process in the distillery's dark warehouses, the casks are carefully blended to create the sparkling citrusy nose and unmistakable smoothness of Auchentoshan American Oak.
Auchentoshan American Oak is Triple distilled
Auchentoshan American Oak is triple distilled and matured only in American bourbon barrels.
The result: a lowland malt whisky with the sweet aromas of vanilla and coconut, along with Auchentoshan's characteristic smooth and delicate flavour.
Like all Auchentoshan whiskies, American Oak is a truly versatile single malt. It works wonders as an Auchentoshan & Ale, can be drunk neat or on the rocks, but can also be mixed with some classic cocktails that might not agree with Single Malt whisky.
