The Pinot Noir grape is native to Burgundy. It is one of the vines that make up the blend of most French champagnes. It is also considered one of the most select varieties worldwide for making varietal wines.
Its berries are small, of a purplish black, waxed by abundant bloom. The skin is thick, and the pulp soft.
