The Macallan A Night on Earth in Jerez de la Frontera is the third edition in a limited series that celebrates New Year’s Eve in a very special way. This single malt Scotch whisky, matured in exceptional sherry-seasoned oak casks, is inspired by year-end celebrations in the heart of Andalusia, in the enchanting city of Jerez de la Frontera, the birthplace of sherry wine.

The third edition of A Night on Earth becomes a true celebration of the night when we bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new. It is that universal moment of togetherness, reflecting on the past year, and toasting to what lies ahead. In honour of its 200th anniversary, The Macallan decided to pay tribute to Jerez de la Frontera, where their exceptional oak casks are seasoned with sherry wine, imparting a unique richness to the whisky.

This whisky has been crafted by The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team, who have skilfully blended the essence of year-end celebrations with the heritage of sherry. Made with a perfectly balanced combination of European and American sherry-seasoned oak casks, each drop of this whisky reflects the year-end traditions of Jerez.

The inspiration for this edition comes from Nochevieja in Jerez de la Frontera, a night filled with emotions, rituals, and meaning, where the spirit of the "Old Night" is intensely celebrated.
