The ties of the Quiles family with the wine traces back to 1780, when they started to elaborate wines in the west lands of the current province of Alicante. It was at the beginning of the XXth century when Mr. Primitivo Quiles Verdú, oenologist, set the current winery in Pinoso (Alicante), and then moved to the current location in Monovar (Alicante) in 1926 so that it was easier to transport the wine by rail until the capital port for its exportation.
In the 30’s and after having studied in France, Don Primitivo Quiles Quiles started working in the winery. Over those years, the commerce expanded to the North of the peninsula and the exportations raised, mainly to the North of Europe and to America.
In 1951, Don Primitivo Quiles Pérez started collaborating in the winery and he renewed the company and adapted it to the new market demands; he run the company until nowadays and he became, from the beginning, in the biggest promoter of the wine from Alicante, working also for the Spanish wine sector as Vice President in the National Federation of Interior Wine Commerce. Nowadays his sons Primitivo and Francisco Quiles run the winery.

Nowadays, our objective is still the achievement of a differentiated and easy-to-identify product, that has the same quality as the best wines in the history of our land. The achievement of a wine that the most exigent consumers on the old and the new global markets associate to this corner of the Mediterranean called Alicante, due to its special features.
Primitivo Quiles Monastrell Merlot Roble is the result of the combination of the varieties Monastrell (60%) and Merlot (40%), and after a strict selection process, its elaboration and its ageing during 6 months in American and French oak casks, this wine is born to make you enjoy with the extraordinary range of sensations derived from the blending of these varieties.
