Descripción ampliada Vermouth Noilly Prat Dry
The story of Noilly Prat begins on weather-beaten, old, wooden sailing ships which crossed the oceans of the world with a cargo that included casks of wine. Fully exposed on deck to the full force of the elements, the wines were aged in a unique way over these long journeys deepening their colour and creating a more pronounced and powerful taste. It was only when faster steam ships were eventually introduced in the 19th century that fine French wines began to lose their rich and characteristic flavour.
Having discovered this unique ageing process at sea, Joseph Noilly was inspired to age wines outdoors and over four seasons, a production technique that is still used to create the unique taste and character of Noilly Prat Original Dry to this very day.
The creation of Noilly Prat takes time and care. The skill and passion of one man, the Maître de Chai, and his savoir-faire ensures that the rich heritage and exceptional craftsmanship of Noilly Prat are preserved and handed down from generation to generation.
The aromatic herbs and spices used in the creation of Noilly Prat Original Dry form a secret recipe. We can reveal that this recipe includes Roman Chamomile and Gentian from France, Nutmeg from Indonesia and Bitter Orange from Tunisia
