More information Botrán 1893 Solera 18 Years 1 Liter (Guatemala) Rum
Botran 1893 Solera 18 Years is aged under the Solera system in barrels that have contained whisky.
In the first part of the 20th century, several Guatemalan families who were pioneers in the production of rum came together to improve their processes and manufacturing systems.
Guatemala is a unique land that combines the ancestral values of the Mayas, the prosperous flowering of sugar cane and the possibility of making their project of unifying their efforts to achieve superior standards in the quality of their products and to strengthen their efforts in the search for new and better technologies a reality.
Guatemalan Rums and Spirits offer the consumer the World of "Unique Quality". Each product is unalterably made with the same quality based on the same components (aged and natural water) and standards, thus becoming an authentic "Product of Origin".
The distillation, the extraction of the virgin honeys, the careful selection of the best barrels and of course the expert aging, where light, temperature, and time are controlled to the detail, everything is done with passion... and that feeling is what finally its consumers taste in each glass.
Ron Boltrán Solera 1893 is the only high altitude rum in the world distilled at over 7000 feet above sea level and aged in the tropical lands of Guatemala.
In its formulation, select rums from the Casa Botrán's special reserves are used, aged for 18 years in white oak barrels at 7,650 feet above sea level, making it a unique rum in the world. The flavor of smoked wood and its aroma of nuts, almonds, and vanilla make Ron Boltrán Solera 1893 the best representative of the Casa Botrán.
Ron Botrán Solera 1893 was awarded the Gold Medal in the Super Premium Category of the International Rum Festival consecutively in 2001, 2002 and 2003.
