Casajuana XO is a round, balanced and elegant brandy.
It was founded in 1991 by 14 entrepreneurs from Tomelloso, with a state-of-the-art technology, born to build a new concept of winery in La Mancha.
The idea of making a great wine cellar in La Mancha, is completed with the historical recovery of one of the cultural traditions that have taken Tomelloso all over the world: the OLD CASAJUANA COÑAC. The foundation of this solera dates from 1892 by the Casajuana family, having its biggest boom in the middle of the 20th century, being commercialized at national level, has come back to light after resting the soleras for a period of more than 100 years.
Located in the centre of La Mancha, near the banks of the river Guadiana, the winery has the latest technology to produce our wines in a traditional way.
70% of our production comes from our own vineyards, which are cultivated in the Tomelloso region. The Tempranillo is the base of our Red ALLOZO wines.
Harvesting is done by hand, selecting the best grapes at their optimum moment of ripeness.
After an adequate fermentation and maceration for each type of wine, the maximum expression of the varietal characteristics of each grape is achieved, where we observe all the affection and care that both the winegrower and the winemaker put into the process of making our wines.
We have 3,500 American oak barrels and 600 French oak barrels where our wines slowly take on body with the wood and develop a set of sensations that we will later discover with all our senses.
It is in the bottle that the wine acquires balance and maturity. We have a system of personalized bottle racks with more than 800,000 bottles, necessary for our limited productions to come to market at their optimum moment.
CASAJUANA BRANDY XO
As Tomelloso is the birthplace of the best hollandas in the world for the production of brandy and other spirits, and following the traditional method of soleras and crianzas, it is normal that there is a high quality brandy market in Tomelloso with centenary soleras that date back to 1982, and numbered productions, such as the CASAJUANA BRANDY.
This brandy is aged in 550 litre American oak casks, which are the original casks where the Casajuana family began their journey to extract the spirit from the wine, due to its ethereal condition, after distillation and oxidative ageing.
