Cubay is a brand name that originates from the West Indies indigenous tribe called the Arawak. Caney only produces two types of rum locally in Santo Domingo: carte blanche and vintage. The company also has a wide selection of liquors.
The Cubay design won the 2000 Creativity and Technology Initiative awarded by the Cuban Industrial Property Office. Cubay rum quality has been awarded the Gold Medal at the Trade Fair, and the company has won other various awards.
