Vineyards
Sourced from 16 vineyards located in the towns of San Asencio and Huércanos, winemaking regions in Rioja Alta, very close to Fuenmayor.
Winemaking
Azpilicueta Instinto ferments at a controlled temperature to enhance and preserve its fruity character. After the alcoholic fermentation is completed, it undergoes malolactic fermentation, which takes place in new American oak barrels with a light toast.
Once finished, it is racked into single-use French oak barrels, where it remains for 5 months. Following this process, it is bottled and left to rest in the cool and dim environment of the winery until it is labeled.

Tasting Notes | Intense red colour with violet reflections, very appealing.
On the nose, it is straightforward and expressive, dominated by black fruits like blueberries and blackberries, along with subtle notes of liquorice. Spicy aromas and delicate roasted nuances come from its barrel ageing.
