Mas Eugeni is an old farm house in Calonge that rises in front of the Mediterranean Sea. 

The soil is composed of clay and sand that have a high permeability and retention of solar radiation thusfacilitating the ripening of the vine. 
The climate is ideal for Calonge vine since its hot, dry summers are offset by the north wind, which is usually milder than in the rest of the Empordà thanks to the shelter of the mountain chain of Les Gavarres..

At the onset of the new millennium, Mas Eugene undertook an ambitious replanting and modernization of the winery to produce with the most advanced winemaking techniques.

Why grenache is the protagonist? Because it is the main variety in the Empordà and the freshest.The syrah gives it structure, and like good partners,they share four months the caresses of the French oak.
