First resting for five years in the Caribbean, inside American oak casks. Later shipped to the facilities of the Williams & Humbert winery in Jerez (Andalusia - Spain) where it undergoes the final stage of ageing, which lasts for three years, in casks which have previously been used to age the international award-winning sherry "Dos Cortados" with a guaranteed age of 20 years as: certified by the Denomination of Origin Jerez-Xérès-Sherry.

Tasting Notes | Dividing the ageing process into two different stages converts Dos Maderas 5+3 into a very special aged rum which is unique in the world, with a bouquet, flavour and aromas which are hard to compare. Toasted aromas in the mouth, with hints of vanilla and nut. Extremely smooth and elegant on the nose.
Serving tips: because it is an aged rum of great quality, we recommend you drink it neat or with a few ice-cubes and, for the connoisseur, as the main ingredient in select cocktails. |
