More information Courvoisier VSOP Artisan Triple Oak 1 Liter Brandy - Cognac

Blend of different crus of cognac region with mainly Fins Bois, Petite Champagne and old Borderies.

The origin of Courvoisier's history begins in the early 19th century with Emmanuel Courvoisier and his partner Louis Gallois with the opening of a wine and spirits company in the Parisian district of Bercy.

In 1811 Napoleon visited their store in Bercy and was hosted by Louis Gallois, the Director, and Emmanuel Courvoisier. Legend has it that Napoleon brought several barrels of cognac with him to St. Helena.

In 1843, Emmanuel's son, Felix Courvoisier established the COURVOISIER company in Jarnac in partnership with Jules Gallois. When Felix died in 1866, his nephews and associates - the Curlier brothers - took over the COURVOISIER business.

COURVOISIER's reputation as the finest cognac in existence was reinforced by Napoleon III who granted COURVOISIER the title of "Official Supplier to the Imperial Court" in 1869. This certificate is now on display in the COURVOISIER museum in Jarnac, with other artefacts and Napoleonic memoranda.
In 1909, the English Simon family took over the COURVOISIER business and began building the COURVOISIER brand identity and developing its global reputation. They established the silhouette of Napoleon and introduced in 1950, the Josephine bottle, today these two symbols with worldwide recognition.

COURVOISIER is now owned by Jim Beam Global, one of the world's largest beverage companies. However, COURVOISIER continues to maintain exactly the same standard in creating and blending introduced by its founder over 200 years ago.

Blend of different crus of cognac region with mainly Fins Bois, Petite Champagne and old Borderies. Fins Bois give a fruity character, Petite Champagne the depth while Borderies add rich exotic sprice. Aged in new french oak and traditional casks before being married in ancient wooden vats

"Superb aromatic balance for this cognac to  be appreciated neat, mixe with ice and water or in long drink."
