Bowmore No. 1 is a tribute to Islay's most famous department store
Bowmore No. 1 is named after Bowmore's No. 1 Vaults, the oldest and most famous warehouses on the island of Islay, and is the start of a new series of very exclusive whiskies.
Bowmore No. 1 has been aged exclusively in barrels that have held Bourbon in the legendary Bowmore No. 1 warehouse, a stone warehouse on the shores of Lake Indaal, where the magical character of Islay and centuries of tradition create whiskies that are outstanding in balance, complexity and beauty.
Bowmore No. 1 has a deeper profile than other Bowmore whiskies, the sweet notes of vanilla, spicy cinnamon and smoked oak intertwine to create a whisky that ends in peat and vanilla and lime from the bourbon.
