In 2006 Bardinet Distilleries set out to select the best casks from the year 2000 to make the best rum of the distillery. The result was the best 50 existing casks.
These barrels, of 200L each, make a total of 10.000L of rum stored at 65% vol. alcohol. In other words, 17,000 litres at 38% vol. alcohol, a liquid gold with which they have bottled a limited series of 24,200 bottles - all of them numbered - the maximum expression of a rum of unequalled quality, aged in American oak barrels for a minimum of 8 years.
Bardinet has ensured that this very special product has a presentation to match, with a new bottle adapted to current trends, and a matching back label and capsule. Negrita is the brand with the largest share in the Spanish food market; Top Series was created to cover the premium segment and with the aim of also finding its place in the on-trade channel.

Tasting Notes
Appearance: bright, intense mahogany colour, fluid in the glass, leaving tears on swirling.
Nose: surprising aromatic power, where the initial and fruity aroma of cane honeys integrated with the spicy notes of cocoa, vanilla and roasted coffee from the time spent in American oak barrels stands out. In the glass it evolves well, increasing in complexity as it is stirred, with new aromas and sensations emerging.
Mouth: intelligently smooth and with sweet notes even though it is a dry rum; it is tasty and full. The finish is very rounded without appearing astringent due to its long ageing period.
