Oaxaca, a mythical land of gods, ancient civilizations, and archaeological ruins such as Monte Alban and Mitla, is also the birthplace of "Mezcal El Recuerdo de Oaxaca," a millenary drink, extracted from the agave, a product native to the Zapotec culture, unique in the world.
The refined taste of this Mezcal is the result of a careful selection of agaves grown under excellent climatic conditions.
What is Mezcal?
Mezcal is an agave-distilled beverage produced in Oaxaca, a southwestern Mexican state that proudly holds the denomination of origin.
Made with centuries-old native methods, mezcal is extracted from the agave. The ancestral plant roots its heart in the earth and emerges with sharp blue-green foliage; a whimsical shape of magical Oaxaca.
After a long eight years of maturation, the best agaves are harvested, from whose core this precious nectar is crafted. When obtained according to artisanal tradition, mezcal achieves a unique character, comparable only to the most distinguished international beverages.
