Ypióca Cristal is a sugar cane spirit aged for 1 year in wooden barrels.

In 1846 the Portuguese Dario Telles arrived in the state of Ceará with the secrets of the finest European distillation. After settling in the city of Maranguape he established a prosperous company which he named Ypióca. His beginnings were with a small ceramic still that he had brought from Portugal.

The second generation with Captain Dario Borges Telles introduced iron stills with an entirely manual process.

In 1929 Paulo Campos Telles made important innovations such as the bottling of litres with precision in balsamic barrels with ageing periods of two years.

In 1968 the fourth generation of the family, led by Everardo Ferreira Telles, took control of the company and made significant improvements to the company and production, consolidating Ypióca as one of the most prosperous companies in the country.

Ypióca Cristal is a  brandy made from cane sugar aged one year in wooden barrels. Its special aging process give its a unique flavour and crystal colour. Ypióca Crista is best used in mixes like  Caipirinha, batidas and other cocktails.
