Bodegas Balbás dates back to 1777, making today more than 200 years of a tradition of four generations dedicated to the deep-rooted passion of making one of the greatest wines of Ribera del Duero.
More than 20 years has passed by since Bodegas Balbás, together with a small bunch of wine cellars, created and established what we today know as the Guarantee of Origin Ribera del Duero
From then they have tried and managed to combine, more than 200 years with the most modern and technologically advanced elaboration process, that make their wines show, in it's highest peak, the most caracteristic type of the greatest wines of this Guarantee of Origin.

Balbás Barrica is a contemporary red wine that fully demonstrates the versatility of Tempranillo to reach new horizons beyond its evident freshness and fragrant, exuberant aromatic potential.
Winemaking: Ageing during 5 months in American and French oak barrels.
