Pampero Añejo Selección 1938 is a special edition that celebrates the 70th anniversary of the Pampero
In the remote valleys of Ocumare de Tuy, in Venezuela, there is a unique tradition. A tradition jealously guarded by a select few, the Maestros Añejadores de Pampero. A tradition elevated to the category of Art.
Pampero Rum was born in Venezuela in 1938, by Alejandro Fernandez, whose main production plant is located in "Hacienda La Guadalupe", in Ocumare, a town near the central plains. Its well-known logo is a llanero on the back of a wild white horse from the Venezuelan Llanos, which inspired its name Pampero (similar to the gauchos from the Argentinean pampas).
Pampero Añejo Selección 1938 is obtained from molasses from Venezuelan sugar cane, which is distilled into columns and matured in oak barrels, whose final blend includes rums between 2 and 8 years old.

Tasting Notes
Dark golden in colour and robust; in the nose, it stands out for its complexity and rich intensity. Unctuous and dense in the mouth, with a long and fine finish. Complex and varied at the same time, with a richness of flavours where vanilla, sweet and dry fruits, cherries and memories of fine wood stand out. It is persistent and has a rich finish.
