Gin Hayman's Sloe Gin

The original company of Hayman Distillers was founded in the 1800’s by James Burrough, the great Grandfather of the current Chairman, Christopher Hayman. James Burrough created the world renowned Beefeater Gin. Although Beefeater Gin and James Burrough Limited were sold to Whitbread in 1987, the Hayman family retained part of the business and continued the tradition of distilling and blending Gin and other white spirits.

Christopher Hayman has over 35 years experience in the drinks trade, having joined James Burrough Limited in 1969 and held the position of Operations Director for almost 15 years when he controlled the distillation and production of Beefeater Gin.

A specialist in Gin Christopher is one of the most experienced ‘Gin Masters’.

HAYMAN’S SLOE GIN

We follow a long-​standing family recipe to make this rich, ruby red liqueur that’s bursting with smooth and intense fruit flavours.
You really do have to taste Sloe Gin to believe it. Ours has intense plummy aromas, hints of almond nuttiness, and delicious fruity flavours all come together in perfect balance. Leaving you charmed by the complex finish and a delightful warmth that stays with you.
There’s a gentle art to making our Sloe Gin, which is essential in achieving just the right balance of berries and gin. We steep sloe berries with Hayman’s Gin carefully for several months before blending with natural sugars. Always by hand, of course. It’s this refined process that ensures your experience will be one reminiscent of drinking the traditional Sloe Gin that was popular in cocktails and as a winter warmer in the 1800s.
