Agustí Torelló Mata’s cava winery is in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, the capital of cava and the heart of the Penedès region. Located in the central coastal area of Catalonia, this region lies very close to the Mediterranean Sea.
The Mediterranean and the region’s large geological structures determine the geographic and microclimatic borders of the various subzones that make up the Penedès region. Mountain ranges: the Litoral and Prelitoral ranges, the Bonastre depression and the Montserrat massif provide, in conjunction with the orographic depressions of Penedès, Canyelles and Foix, a wide variety of soil and lithologic differences which, combined with their own microclimate, produce at least three distinctive viticultural areas.
This extraordinary diversity enables the production of very specific products. In other words, the unique identity of el Penedès is made up of small subregions or subzones. At Agustí Torelló Mata we evaluate and select the best land in each subregion in order to obtain the maximum expression, quality and personality from the local varieties.
Gran ReservaBarrica 40% of the basic wine is fermented and aged for 8 months in French oak barrels.
Cava with a minimum ageing of 30 months.
As an aperitif. Also goes well with Iberian ham, cold cuts, seafood, fish and meat in sauce, rice, poultry, meat and semi-cured cheese.

Tasting Notes
Appearance: Ligth straw colour with green hues. Fine and abundant bubbles with well-developed bead.
Aroma: Intense green apple notes with a delicate, balmy, toasted and spicy touch produced by the barrel.
Finish: Dry and glyceric flavour with dense and creamy froth. The freshness of the fruit and the balmy notes stands out against a toasted and vanilla background.
