The tangible product is Cognac-8, a blend ofeau de viesof the last 8 master blenders of the firm
Proving that even a 250-year-old cognac producer is not too old to learn new tricks, Maison Hennessy launched its first NFTs—non-fungible tokens—consisting of the numbers 1/250 and 250/250 of an offering whose main fungible asset is an elegant decanter or decanter called Cognac-8.
Cognac-8 consists of a blend of spirits produced by the maison's last eight master blenders, including the current one, Renaud Fillioux de Gironde.

Jointly made by Yann Fillioux and Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, this heritage cognac symbolizes the transmission of unique know-how from one generation to the next.
The purchase price of Cognac-8 will be 58 ETH, a digital currency, or about 225,000 dollars and 132,640 pounds.

Seven were meticulously selected by Yann Fillioux to illustrate each generation of Master Blenders. And the eighth was chosen by his designated successor, Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, who will soon become the eighth generation of Fillioux family Master Blenders to orchestrate Hennessy's creations, having been a member of the tasting committee for the past 14 years.
"This blend embodies ideal simplicity and absolute perfection, it is a master blender's dream come true," says Yann Fillioux of this unique cognac creation.

The 250 decanters are made of mouth-blown Baccarat crystal and hand-sealed. The eight inserted rings constitute an ode to the eight Master Blenders and the eight spirits of the blend.
"As the seventh generation Hennessy Master Blender, Yann Fillioux has honored the tradition shared by the Hennessy and Fillioux families for 250 years, and he has done so with talent, vision and respect. It is with great excitement that we witness the passing of the torch to his nephew, Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, who will bring his own vision to the Maison Hennessy and ensure that his savoir-faire is safely maintained in the future," said Bernard Peillon, CEO of Hennessy.
