The creation of the Industria de Licores del Valle in 1921 was a response to the administration’s need to obtain and allocate resources for public investment.
After National Independence, the Government authorised private individuals to produce and market aguardiente until 1905, when the State once again assumed the monopoly, transferring it to the departments. Around 1921, the Industria de Licores del Valle was founded with the support of the Spaniard Diego Delgado Zafra, an expert in the field of spirit distillation. He was responsible for carrying out, in an old mansion that also housed the Government building, located at Carrera 4 and Calle 14, the work required to install the stills that gave rise to the renowned distillery.
The production of liqueurs and perfumed alcohols began, earning prestige throughout the country.
Using sugar cane harvested in the Valle del Cauca region, they produce the purest alcohol in Colombia. This is the raw material from which Aguardiente Blanco is later crafted — a spirit deeply rooted in the region, as it embodies the joy and character of its land and people.

Aguardiente Blanco del Valle contains 85% less sugar and delivers 100% pure flavour. Its certification of origin and the finest ingredients stand as proof of its quality.
