More information The Macallan James Bond 60th Anniversary (6 Bottles) Whisky

The Macallan James Bond 60th Anniversary is the complete collection of the 6 bottles of which it is composed: Decade I, II, III, IV, V and VI.

Kirsteen Campbell, Master Whisky Maker of The Macallan, has created this exceptional single malt whisky to reflect the character of James Bond. A force of nature, defined by his Scottish heritage, who carries himself with modesty and humility.

Like James Bond, the expression exudes a sense of style and maturity that has evolved over the years. The whisky is consistent across all six bottles.

This distinctive collection tells the story of 60 years of innovation and the pioneering character qualities of James Bond and The Macallan. James Bond is a modern innovator and a man constantly evolving. The films have become closely associated with 007's ingenious gadgets, which are used in Bond's mission to achieve the greater good. They have also become a hallmark of the franchise's popularity.

The Macallan James Bond Decade I

The 1960s was a singular decade for James Bond. The chivalrous espionage icon's big screen debut in 1962 starred the inimitable Sean Connery, who appeared in six films over the next ten years. After a brief break when George Lazenby starred in On Her Majesty's Service in 1969, Sir Sean made a triumphant reappearance in 1971's Diamonds for Eternity.

The packaging design includes sketches from James Bond versus Goldfinger (1964), You Only Live Twice (1967), in which Little Nellie appears in a combat sequence, and the fictional jet pack worn by Bond in Operation Thunder (1965).

Decade I explores Bond's innovations and archives from the 1960s. The packaging design includes exclusive original sketches, including the storyboard for the Little Nellie fight sequence in You Only Live Twice (1967), concept art for the Fort Knox interior set, the design of the laser beam room set from James Bond vs. Goldfinger (1964) and a technical drawing of the fictional jet pack worn by Bond in Operation Thunder (1965).

Test pilot Bill Suitor carried the working prototype of Bond's jet pack in Operation Thunder, called the "Bell Rocket Belt", in the opening credits flight sequences. The Bond art department created an exact replica for Connery to wear.

The Macallan James Bond Decade II

The 1970s saw the rise of Roger Moore's Bond. He brought humour and a different, mischievous side to the character, which enlivened a somewhat dismal decade.

The packaging design includes sketches and storyboards from The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), Stromborg's Atlantis marine research lab and various space station concepts from Moonraker (1979).

Decade II explores Bond's innovations and archives from the 1970s. The packaging design includes original sketches and concept art from Moonraker's Space Station (1979), as well as exterior concept art of Atlantis from The Spy Who Loved Me (1977).

The sketch of Stromborg's Atlantis marine research laboratory was inspired by the Cala di Volpe hotel in Sardinia, and the establishment itself also appears as a location and setting.

The Macallan James Bond Decade III

In the 1980s, Roger Moore's easy-going character gave way to a completely different tone with the arrival of Timothy Dalton as the new Bond. He was often seen re-reading Ian Fleming's books on set, determined to capture the character of the author's original Bond.

The box design features concept art for the Octopussy (1983) logo, a sketch of the A.T.A.C. area of operations and a storyboard sequence from the film For Your Eyes Only (1981).

Decade III explores Bond innovations and archives from the 1980s. The box design features concept art for the Octopussy (1983) logo used on the film's poster, a sketch of the A.T.A.C. area of operations and a sequence from the A.T.A.C. storyboard in For Your Eyes Only (1981).

The Macallan James Bond Decade IV

In 1995, Bond was personified by Pierce Brosnan. He brought a new sensibility to the classic, winning Bond formula. The complexity of the productions increased, and the essence of the James Bond world was conveyed with great attention to detail.

The box design features a storyboard storyboard of the pre-credits action sequence from GoldenEye (1995) and the concept of a stealth ship from Tomorrow Never Dies (1997).

Decade IV explores the Bond innovations and archives of the 1990s. The box set design includes concept art of the stealth ship in Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) and a storyboard of the pre-credits sequence from GoldenEye (1995).

The concept art for Tomorrow Never Dies illustrates the stealth ship of the main antagonist, Elliot Carver. This sketch is very similar to the props for the final production.

The Macallan James Bond Decade V

After leaving the 1990s behind, Daniel Craig embodies the Bond of the 2000s. Not since his first appearance in Casino Royale has a card game been presented with such style and tension in a film. The setting, ingredients, character and dedication to craftsmanship combine to deliver an absolutely captivating result.

The packaging design features a dramatic car sequence from Casino Royale (2006) and a digitally drawn rooftop chase from Quantum Of Solace (2008).

Decade V explores Bond innovations and archives from the 2000s. The design includes digital concept art of the interior of the Sienna Gallery from Quantum Of Solace (2008) and the storyboard of a driving sequence from Casino Royale (2006).

The Macallan James Bond Decade V

The Macallan James Bond Decade VI

In 2012, Skyfall transported audiences to James Bond's childhood home, but also tragically destroyed it. Daniel Craig's performances brought more domestic moments of deep love and family.

In his most relatable character to date, Craig reveals a vulnerable humanity at Bond's core, without compromising his trademark resolve or physical ability.

The box set design features the childhood home Skyfall Lodge in Skyfall (2012) and a Day of the Dead poster from Spectre 007 (2015).

Decade VI explores Bond's innovations and archives from 2010 onwards. The box set design includes a Day of the Dead poster from Spectre 007 (2015) and a Skyfall Lodge illustration from Skyfall (2012).

The Day of the Dead poster recalls the action-packed opening sequence of Spectre 007. Instead of filming the popular Mexican holiday, the production created its own version and filled the Zocalo Plaza with over 1500 extras.
