The Ileach Peated Single Malt is a whisky made from Islay distilleries.
The makers of The Ileach Peated Single Malt secretly select the finest single malts from Islay's finest distilleries to create this powerful whisky that brings together the best characteristics of Islay: Powerful peat and penetrating smokiness.
For centuries the stormy waters of the Atlantic Ocean has not only shaped the character of the people of Islay but also the character of their famous whiskies. In many ways this fine malt mirrors the character of Islay people – strong yet gentle, warm yet mellow, but with maturity beyond its years. Robust peaty, with that unmistakable breath of the seashore, The Ileach is “a true man from Islay”

Tasting Notes
From: Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2008:
Nose: Thick chunk of peat has been dissolved in the glass
Palate: Oil-peat-barley balance spot on as is the bitter-sweet tone: just stunning
Finish: The peat disipated slowly to leave a slightly bitterish oaky influence but the spices compensate
