Soberano is a brandy, 100% wine distillate. 

González Byass was founded in Jerez in 1835 by manuel M. González. At the young age os 23 he decided to dedicate himself to the production and commercialisation of Sherry wines and spirits. In 1844 the firts barrels of Tio Pepe were exported to London. Tio Pepe being named in homenage to the uncle of the founder, Jose Ángel. Then in 1855 the company´s UK distributor Robert Blake Byass was made a partner in order to strengthen links with the UK, the number one for Sherry wines. However nowadays the company is controlled by the González family, now in its fifth generation.

Since the middle of 19th century Gozález Byass has played a leading role in the exciting story of brandy. The firts alembics of the friendship between the González family and the KIng of Spain.

Soberano is a Reserva brandy which is aged in American oak barrels that have previously contained Sherry wine. Soberano is produced are blended and aged in American oak barrels for 12 criaderas. The careful selection of the soleras, the seasoning of the barrels with sweet oloroso wines and the traditional system of solera and criadera produce a highly expressive brandy with an unmistakable colour, aroma and flavour.
