Hydramelis was born during the medieval gastronomic days held at La Taberna de Quique y Cuca de Castalla, in Alicante. The innovative formula for making mead presented did not require a fermentation process and used a base of distilled alcohol. Since then, David Quesada experimented until he created four varieties of distilled alcohol-based mead. Following the demand from friends and acquaintances, David decided to market this variant of traditional mead.
Hydramelis Hydra is also the official alcoholic beverage of the live role-playing events Shaidraig.
