Glendalough Double Barrel is the excellent result of ageing Irish whiskey in ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso barrels
Glendalough Double Barrel begins its maturation process in flame-charred ex-bourbon American oak barrels. It is finished in Oloroso casks from Montilla, a small town nestled in the rolling hills of the Spanish countryside.
Glendalough selects the winery, the liquid, the barrels, and the cooper in this region of Spain to offer a terroir-driven experience, encapsulated in the liquid when they place their whiskey in these slow-toasted barrels for ageing.
These specially selected barrels, combined with expert liquid finishing, provide a rich and complex flavour to Glendalough Double Barrel.
