The famously smooth tastle of The Famous Grouse is a result of blending some of the world's best malt whiskies, including Highland Park and The Macallan, with sweet grain whiskies. They marry these for up 6 months before bottling. It is a time-consuming process, but they believe this is what makes their whisky smoother and more consistent.
