Hacienda El Espino, a winery surrounded by its wineyards with the desgination of origin Almansa, honours the land on which it cultivates and where history was written.
In 1707, a crucial battle for the monarchy of Spain occurred. In the lands of Almansa the Spanish succession war came to an end, and Philip V won the decisive victory that would proclaim his coronation on the throne of Spain. The clearings of the massif of Mugrón and the present-day lands of Hacienda El Espino were witness to an episode that is commemorated with the year 1707 in every bottle of wine consumed.
Three centuries later, Paco Milán, a native of Almansa, and his family, devote time and resources to launch a wine enterprise to enjoy and feel proud of. Since the start of the 1990s, the Milán family has managed to combine a number of small holdings of great wine potential, and in 2002 they undertook the construction of a winery.
An extraordinary young wine, with body and complexity but already pleasant on the palate, perfect to accompany a wide variety of dishes.
