West Cork Bourbon Whiskey cask is a clear example of the new Irish whiskey.
Irish whiskey has been on the rise for a few years now, and the West Cork distillery is proof of this. Founded in 2003, it has developed slowly but steadily, culminating in 2015 with the opening of a modern distillery in Skibbereen.
Today the distillery exports to 70 countries and production capacity is at full capacity.
A delicate blend of grain (75%) and malt (25%) whiskey matured in bourbon casks, with a slight citrus and cracked pepper aroma. A smooth and balanced whiskey, the taste is one of malt, lingering sweetness, citrus, apple and nutmeg.
