Respecting the tradition which has been passed down from father to son and in the search of a wine which shows the potential of the Tempranillo of the Sonsierra area, the Eguren family founded in 1991 Señorio de San Vicente. In 1985 they chose "Finca la Canoca ", a vineyard of 18 hectares to plant an indigenous and rare variety of grape, almost disappeared due to its low productivity called Tempranillo Peludo, (Furry Tempranillo).
The village of San Vicente de la Sonsierra is nestled in the heart of the famous Rioja region, where the Ebro river and the Sierra Cantabria mountains go hand in hand and contribute to the harmony of the fruit of the land.
The people of San Vicente de la Sonsierra have always known how to make the most of the excellent climatic and geomorphic conditions to produce GREAT WINES, the fundamental economic activity of the area.
