Mumm Cordon Rouge has become an icon of the champagne category and epitomizes Georges Hermann de Mumm’s maxim of “Only the best”. Previously reserved for the best clients of the Mumm House, Cordon Rouge is currently one of the most famous champagnes in the world.
The wine is produced with three types of grapes: the white Chardonnay and two reds, the Pinot Noir and the Pinot Meunier. Each type of Champagne has a distinct proportion of the three varieties. The GRAND CORDON ROUGE is composed of Chardonnay 30%, Pinto Noir 45% and Pinot Meunier 25%, and each component adds its own trait to the champagne: the first lightness, the Pinot Noir potency and flavours, and the last fruitiness and freshness.

FRAGRANCE: The nose reveals initial aromas of ripe fresh fruit (white and yellow peaches, apricots), tropical notes (lychee and pineapple). It then opens up with the fragrance of vanilla before developing notes of milky caramel, breadcrumbs and yeast, culminating in aromas of dried fruit and honey.
