Robert Brotons Special Edition made from Monastrell vineyards planted in 1988.
This cellar was founded in 1950 by Don Francisco Brotons Alonso and spent of generation in generation until arriving at our days.
In the years 50 the cellar already counted on a capacity for 200,000 liters and after a reconstruction in year 1990 this capacity was increased until the 400,000 liters.
Dedicated from its beginnings to the elaboration of bulk (Cask, Carafe, Barrels…) in the years 90 it had to decide between following with this activity like always or taking alternative ways (Modernization of the Cellar) to obtain quality wines.

The modernization of the cellar gave rise to stainless steel tanks with temperature control, the barrels of oak, pipes and stainless steel machinery was the protagonists of this transformations and monovarielates went of the bulk to the wine elaboration (Syrah, Merlot, Tempranillo and Monastrell), as well as the Coupages de Syrah-Merlot, Syrah-Monastrell.
In spite of the modernization of its facilities, it was not wanted to resign to the traditional character of wines of Alicante, since it was one of the keys to obtain a product stars as Fondillón 1964 of the variety Mosastrell.
Like result of all it, the recognition in the sector and the obtaining of some prizes was not made hope, mainly in its young wines, raising, reserve and great reserve.
