Diplomatico is produced in Venezuela by Destilerias Unidas, and is consistently recognised as one of the finest South American rums. The distillery complex at Destilerias Unidas has been producing top-quality spirits for over 45 years and is designed for versatility, with a total of seven stills (three potstills and four column stills) all producing different styles of spirit from top-grade molasses.

A fabulous Venezuelan dark golden rum, distilled from molasses in a copper potstill before 12 years of ageing. Rich, sweet and fruity, just how we like 'em. Fantastic quality for the money, Diplomatico was awarded a Gold Medal at the 2007 Ministry of Rum Tasting Competition.

Tasting Notes | Nez : Nez doux, devenant puissant à l'aération, avec une dominante de fruits cuits, de tabac blond et de miel, remarquablement fondus.
Bouche : Au départ moelleux, voire sirupeux, il prend une incontestable vigueur aromatique en se développant en bouche. La palette aromatique,d'une grande intensité, est particulièrement diversifiée : fruits secs et compotés, caramel au beurre, miel d'acacia, havane, cuir tanné, bois de santal... tout en étant très fondue et bien équilibrée.
Finale : Finale sur le sirupeux, mais bien relevée par une pointe d'épices poivre noir, gingembre) qui en prolonge la persistance.
