Bodegas Beronia was founded in 1973 very close to its current location, surrounded by vineyards of the native varieties of La Rioja Alta: Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano and Viura. Started by a Gastronomic Society, the González Byass Group took over later, remaining faithful to the quality spirit of the winery.
Bodegas Beronia has evolved and expanded its facilities to adapt them to the new needs of the sector. With a clear future objective, it is committed to sustained growth based on quality and know-how. In 1999 it obtained the International Quality Certification ISO 9002/94, being one of the first wine companies to receive it. Subsequently, in 2000, its environmental management system was certified under the ISO 14001/96 standard, and it is also one of the pioneering wineries in obtaining this international certification.
Tempranillo: 82%. Garnacha: 14%. Graciano: 4%.
With grapes from the Rioja Alta, from clayey-calcareous soils, they obtain fine wines with floral sensations, reminiscent of fresh, fleshy berries, smooth in the mouth and pleasant on the palate.
From healthy grapes, with adequate ph and total acidity, the alcoholic fermentation, maceration, and extraction of colour and flavour are carried out. Afterwards, the malo-lactic fermentation takes place, the wine, already softer, continues its elaboration in the tank until the ageing in the barrel begins; finishing the process with its rounding in the bottle.
A smooth and rounded wine, with mouthwatering wild berry fruit characters, enhanced by subtle vainilla aromas from ageing in French and American oak barrels. Delicious with cured meats and cheeses.
