The origin of Barceló rum dates back to 1929, when Julián Barceló arrived in the Dominican Republic with the purpose of producing a rum that would go down in history as the best in the world. Just a year later, in 1930, he founded the company Barceló & Co. At that time, the young Spaniard was only 26 years old but had many dreams, and in a short time, he began producing and marketing his first rums throughout the country.
