Amer Picon is a bitter liqueur made of high quality raw materials: skin of bitter orange, gentian, and quinine.
The original recipe of the appetizer was created by Geatan Picon by 1830, in Philippeville, Belgium.
Used as a tonic for the stomach and to open appetite, and when it was marketed in France was a great success.
It became fashionable mix with beer, to give a more bitter taste.
