Ron Brugal: 130 years of history awaits you
The Ron Brugal story begins almost 130 years ago, in Puerto Plata, with Don Andrés Brugal Montaner and his belief in the value of passion, dedication and hard work. Stories as good as these are meant to be shared, and so is Brugal.
Don Andrés Brugal Montaner moved to the Dominican Republic with an idea: to perfect the art of rum making. And so it was that, in 1888, the Brugal company - and the Brugal legend - was born.
Almost 130 years later, Ron Brugal is still made by the Brugal family; only family members can become a 'Maestro Ronero'. Now it is Jassil and Gustavo, the fifth generation, who share in having that honour.
