John and William Hardie formed their partnership in 1857. In their early days in Greenside Place, Edinburgh, they succeeded in perfecting a blended spirit made from a selection of mature whiskies.
The jewel in their crown is Antiquary, a superior 12 year old whisky with a full and intense smooth flavour.
Antiquary Finest is an example of one of the finest Scotch whiskies. Each whisky has been matured in oak casks. This ageing process gives it a unique smoothness thanks to its composition of great malt and grain whiskies, with the greatest number of malt whiskies in the blend.
At the heart of Antiquary Finest is a high concentration of malt whiskies and to a lesser extent grain whiskies selected from the finest malt whiskies from Speyside and Highland distilleries.
