Castilla y Leon Red Wine
Yllera nuevemeses is the freshest bet among the local wines of Castilla y León.
The Yllera family, the 6th generation of winegrowers and winemakers, together with the Riojan oenologist Ramón Martínez Palacios are the owners of the YLLERA Group, a group of wineries rooted in the heart of Castile and Leon, in the lands bathed by the Duero River.
From the first verdejo whites, they have gone on to produce a wide variety of prestigious wines: red wines from the D.O. Ribera del Duero, white wines from the D.O. Rueda, and the wines from the Land of Castile and Leon YLLERA, thanks to large and continuous investments in technology, barrels, selection of vineyards and human resources.
Manual harvesting. Double selection of grapes in the vineyard and in the winery. Destemming. Traditional alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 20º in stainless steel tanks. Daily pumping over for colour extraction and temperature control. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Red meat (steak, sirloin, entrecôte) and white meat (lamb, turkey, chicken), vegetable stews, Iberian sausages, cured and semi-cured cheeses.

Cherry red colour with bluish tones. The nose is fragrant, with a variety of fruity (raspberry, blueberry, blackberry) and spicy (pepper) tones. There is also a gentle touch of vanilla and toast, the result of its time in oak barrels. The palate is broad, long and pleasant. It is a tasty wine, well tamed, that does not let you feel edges in its passage, persistent and long of flavours. Overall it is a very elegant wine, easy to drink, smooth and harmonious.
