The winery Marqués de Alcantara is located in Almería, 40 km from the capital and 550 m above sea level, in the Tabernas Desert, considered the only desert itself in Europe, which has an area of 250 km2. the winery has 30 hectares of vineyards cultivated conducted in espalier in double cord with a load of 2.5 kg strain. the low rainfall necessitates the use of drip irrigation, properly programmed to avoid excess water and promote correct fruit ripening. 

Our blue wine is made from 100% chardonnay grapes. This is one of the grapes for elaboration of white wine with greater presence in the world viticulture, renowned for its nobility as the queen of white grapes, and one of the two varieties most important in the production of champagne and white wine grape.

Marqués de Alcantara is blue thanks to a natural pigment called anthocyanin. This pigment is extracted from the skin of red grapes and is mixed with the broth until the chardonnay grape color that characterizes us.
