In 1846 Dario Telles arrived in Ceará with the secrets of the finest distillation in Europe. He established a prosperous business that he christened Ypióca. He started with only a small ceramic still that he had brought from Europe.
The second generation introduced iron stills with an entirely manual process.
In 1929 Paulo Campos Telles designed important innovations such as the bottling of litres with precision in balsamic barrels with an aging period of 2 years.
In 1968 the fourth generation of the family took control of the business and achieved significant improvements. This generation consolidated Ypióca as one of the most prosperous businesses of the country.
Carefully aged in order to create a splendid flavour, Toucano is versatile and can be used in cocktails to create an infinite number of combinations with drinks.
