The history of Crema Negrita starts in 1857. A young liquor producer from Limoges named Paul Bardinet took interest in the sugarcane alcohol that came from far away islands in the New World. The “ratafia” as they called it in those days didn´t have large value for privateers but underneath its apparent roughness grand secrets were hidden.
Paul Bardinet knew to appreciate the subtle and incomparable flavours and aromas in the “ratafia” that until that day were ignored. His use of this sugarcane alcohol resulted in exquisite rums.
Having converted himself into an expert distiller, Paul Bardinet constructed an emblematic brand ‘Negrita' that has travelled around the world until this day.
